New Russia needs a new sophisticated workforce – a dual education system of Anglo-Russian learning will deliver this new breed of Russian graduate. Great Britain is universally and historically accepted as the World leader in education.

However let’s not forget that Russian education is of an extremely high standard that has produced a learned nation that has excelled at scientific achievement, innovation and cultural excellence. The ethos of the Anglo-Russian School is to combine these two proven education systems of Russia and Great Britain, to allow Russian students in their last two years to attain the necessary qualifications to pursue their College years under their own choice (British or Russian University). The final goal of the Anglo-Russian School is to ensure that our students have the greatest of opportunities and choices in their chosen career and professional life. Indeed we envisage that students of the Anglo-Russian School will be ‘head hunted’ by the international companies involved in Russian trade with the world. An added advantage of this dual system of education is that the Russian student can still live at home with their parents and also be subject to family discipline – we can not overestimate the stabilizing role of the family in the development of the child.

So the idea is born – Russian pupils have the opportunity to have a dual secondary education: the British college is responsible for the training of our teachers, control of the education and exams procedure and the Russian school has the realisation of the project and to provide the ‘home’ in Moscow. Till Septemper 2008, such 'home' for Anglo-Russian School was Center of Education #497, where, nowadays, students succesfully pursue their double education course. In august 2008, one of the founders of A-RS and its permanent principal M. Gerchikov was appointed as the principal of the school #1198 for implementation of the educational project "Moscow International School"(MIS), supported by governments of Russian Federation and Moscow. Anglo-Russian Schhol's main policies became an inalienable part of MIS programme intended for the whole period of school studies.
